Some clarification needed with the Power Rule for Logarithms. ln(x)^3 = (ln(x^3)) is this the same thing as : (ln(x))^3 = ln(x^3)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes its the same thing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Really?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wouldn't it be (lnx^3)(lnx^3)(lnx^3)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\ln x^{3} = (\ln x)^{3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I mean they're not equal
