specialized sensing organelles. i would go with pacinian corpucscles, and another type, possibly named meissner (9 years ago... who can remember) they sense deep and shallow vibration. one of them is like an onion with a nerve ending in it. here is a link to get you through http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacinian_corpuscle
