some nice books or links for socket programming in python and C ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I have not messed with socket programming in python but I have with C. I would suggest Linux Socket Programming "By Example" (By: Warren W. Gay) and Network Programming for Microsoft Windows (By: Anthony Jones, Jim Ohlund).

I recommend "Linux Programming by Example" by Kurt Wall. I don't know whether you can find that on the web or if you will have to buy it. Que also sells "Linux Socket Programming by Example" but I have never read it. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...28105?v=glance

This one is also pretty good: http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~beej/guide/net/

I would also get the google chrome browser and get a google account and then go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mmimngoggfoobjdlefbcabngfnmieonb?hl=en-US&hc=col-books&hcp=ftr and install the google book app. Once you have the app, you can easily search for tons of books that are free and books to buy. This link might help you too. http://books.google.com/ebooks?as_brr=5&q=network+programming+in+c++subject%3A%22Computers%22+subject%3A%22Computers%22&as_sub=Computers
