How would YOU define a macromolecule? (im just looking for a definition to help me out)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry, I meant, how are macromolecules formed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the formation of macromolecules are rather complex, but i will shorten this out for ya. okay each macromolecule is made up of polymers( long molecular chains linked together by monomers). monomers are the smallest subunit. they can be synthesized by dehydration reaction and hydrolysis. build up-dehydration reaction is when the removal of -OH and -H they add subunits and a single water molecule is removed. break down-hydrolysis is a hydrogen atom is attatched to a subunit and a hydroxl group to another, that breaks the covalent bons.

i hope that is concise but not too over the top.
