4x(x-3)=0 4x=0 x-3=0 x=0 or x=3

4x^2-12x=0 --> from here you can factorise the equation. since the common factor of 4x^2 and 12x is 4x, you can bring out 4x from the equation --> 4x(x-3)=0 --> then now, you can see that either one of them or both of them is a 0 --> 4x=0 or x-3=0. --> from 4x=0, x=0 --> from x-3=0, x=3 --> from here, you can get the answer x=0 or x=3
