How to graph the quadratic y=x(squared) +1 Show all work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is a normal parabola, execept what you wanna do is move it up vertically 1 unit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The parabola is already written in vertex form: Y = (x - 0)^2 + 1 So your y - intercept or vertex is at the points (0,1)

to plot a graph, you need to find the max and min point...since this equations has only a min point, which is (0,1) for x = 0 (the lowest for a squared value) so the graph looks like this.|dw:1315235712829:dw|
