how do i factor 9u^2-5uv+6v^2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you try \[9u^2-5u+6\]?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets see if i remember factor by grouping

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[9\times 6=54\] so we want two numbers whose product is 54 and whose sum is -5 and i am stuck right away!

OpenStudy (kira_yamato):

The cross factorization doesn't help...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

think either there is a typo, or you are out of luck one or the other

OpenStudy (kira_yamato):

If this is the question, I'll have to say that it cannot be solved...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup thats the question and i couldn't figure it out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not factorable thanks :)
