5x+3y=15 need help to graph this equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok first you need to put the equation into y=mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get the slope..then graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so subract 5x from both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you will have 3y=-5x+15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then divide by 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then your final answer would be y=-5/3x+5 then graph it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so my answer will be 5? and i would graph (0,5)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait nevermind. i did it wrong. my bad. it would be 3.3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You where right first time the answer is 5 NOT 3.3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, so would i graph (0,5)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok your graph would be a negative one an a point will be (0,5) (3,0) (6,-5) (-3,10) just graph those points and connect them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, thanks
