To specifically relocate native Americans into areas which would force them to abandon their cultural heritage and would destroy their society of resistance. So, if you take an eastern native american and relocate them westward, they don't know how to survive in the environment - their culture isn't adapted to it - so it destroys their culture as they adapt. With their culture destroyed, native americans then have no culture to fight for. This is also the reason why we kidnapped their children and put them into "schools".
