Well, 2 Adults @ $8.50 = $17.00 3 Children @ $5.50 = $16.50 $17.00 + $16.50 = $33.50 $40.25 - $33.50 = $6.75 for all boxes of popcorn So each box costed $6.75/3=$2.25.
