6x^3-4X^2-10x factor the expression

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x(x+1)(3x-5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you explain how you found this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factor out 2x and your left with 3x^2 -2x -5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x+1)(3x-5) is how that factors...there's no real explaination....just gotta play with it til it factors right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is a method, but you might as well guess and check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean...you can use the product sum method....but it's usually quicker to just guess and move numbers around
