Was reading the book, “The Adventure of English” by Melvyn Bragg and wanted to know a little more about the Native American man who spoke English before the Pilgrims first settled in the area. Any idea were I could start?

According to the Pilgrim story...the english-speaking Native American was called "Squanto", though his actual name was probably "Tisquantum".
