Mathematics 7 Online

4/(x^2 + 7x +12)+ 7/(x^2-9)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4/(x+4)(x+3) + 7/(x-3)(x+3) --> 4(x-3) + 7(x+4) / (x+4)(x-3)(x+3) --> 4x-12+7x+28/(x+4)(x-3)(x+3) --> 11x+16/(x+4)(x-3)(x+3) ---> ans? I think it could be wrong

the methodology looks right, although i didn't follow the simplifications that happened after the fractions were combined into one. It'd improve clarity to throw some brackets around 4(x-3) and 7(x+4) so it's clear that the sum of those two is what's being divided by that all three factors, rather than just 7(x+4)

will keep that in mind:) thanks
