can someone help me with complex numbers and the quadratic equaion
I'd love to - do you want help with anything specific, or just something broad?
i don't get multiplying and dividing complex numbers
You can simply use foil to multiply complex numbers together. When you divide it's a little bit more tricky, you need to multiply by the conjugate of the denominator. Maybe try watching this video :) This guy is good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPSj4-76eEc
my math teacher said i need to study quadratic equation before my test tomorrow
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iulx0z1lz8M It's not too difficult, and really easy to pickup :)
These are good videos about complex numbers: http://www.khanacademy.org/video/complex-numbers--part-1?playlist=Algebra http://www.khanacademy.org/video/complex-numbers--part-2?playlist=Algebra And this is for the quadratic formula: http://www.khanacademy.org/video/introduction-to-the-quadratic-equation?playlist=Algebra
Correction: http://www.khanacademy.org/video/quadratic-equation-part-2?playlist=Algebra
on a recent quiz i got this problem wrong find the product: (3+6i)(4-7i) and i got 7-i.
You need to use foil, seems to me you added like-terms. You need to foil. You should get: 54+3i You should watch them videos.
\[12-21i+24i-42i^2\] \[12-21i+24i+42\] 54+3i \[i^2\] becomes -1.
