If I remeber correctly

then a line beside the #1-9
then a 8 beside the 1 for 18
then 1 and 3 and 4 will go next to the 2 for 21 and 23 and 24

then 6 and 6 for 36 and 36

is the stem the first number and leaf the 2nd number? sorry peach that makes no sense to me.. :(

stem 1,2,3,4...9 stand for tens
leaves on opposite side of each stem represent units

for e.g. stem 1 and leaves 8 mean 10+8=18
