Can someone let me know how to do this problem? A guy wire is attached to the top of a radio antenna and to a point on horizontal ground that is 40.0 meters from the base of the antenna. If the wire makes an angle of 58degrees 20’ with the ground, approximate the length of the wire.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cos(58.333333)=40/x so x=76.19 meters...convert the minutes into decimal by dividing by 60 so 58degrees + 20/60=58.333333333
