This is actually very easy, for everyone. Basically you want to find the highest number that can be divided by both. Eg. 12/12 = 1 and 108/12 = 9. Thus 1/9.
Simple example is 2/4. You instantly know that 2 and 4 can both be divided by 2. So than you would do 2/2 = 1 and 4/2 = 2. Equals 1/2.
