k im in geometry and my book has 2 different distance formulas... are they the same. or both wrong? help! (AB)to the second+(x2-x1)to the second+(y2-y1)to the second..... or AB=((x2-x2)to the second=(y2-y1)to the second))all square rooted other than AB... ?

distance formula is made from phtagorous theorem and it is squre root {x2-x1)^2+(y2.y1)^2}
