The area A of an equaliteral triangle with sides of lenght S is given by the formula A:S^2/4 √3 a.stain the domain for S b.find the area of an equalateral triangle with sides of 10cm. Round to nearest tenth
how does one stain a denominator? \[\frac{a}{\color{red}{b}}\]
since S is not restricted in any way (as it is a length) it is real for all S and for part b

okay now to find the hight we can use pythagoras
so the hight is 5root 3
so now we use the area of a triangle formula ... half the base times the hight
so it will be: .5 *10*\[5\sqrt{3}\]
oooh state the domain! it is \[S>0\] since the length cannot be negative
LOL
so the area is approx 43.3013...
i gotta go to class now mate (a 4 hr class) i might be able to help u during it i dunno ... if u have any more questions plz write them here ... i shuld get a notification ...
