solve for x: factor out common factor x^3-13x^2+42x=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x(x^2-13x+42) = x(x-7)(x-6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = 0, x = 7, x = 6

cool thank you so much I just needed to make sure this one was right.

Can you use the quadratic formaula on this as well?

OpenStudy (chaise):

You can use the quadratic formula once you have factored out the x, just remember that one of your answers will be 0, plus the two answers from the Quadratic formula.
