I got x<3 and x<-7 but that isnt an answer above...

the "−7<x<3" of @upsilon is the same as my "x>-7 and x<3"

I just split it up.

"-7<x" is the same as "x>-7"

why is the sign reversed?

it is not really reversed. It still says that x is bigger than -7. It is only displayed the other way around.
