|2x+4|<10 x<3 and x>-3 x>3 and x<-7 x<-7 and x>7 x>-7 and x<3 I got x<3 and x<-7 but that isnt an answer above...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[|2x+4|<10\]\[-10<2x+4<10\]\[-14<2x<6\]\[-7<x<3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x>-7 and x<3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you show your work @chris just so i can see how you did it? thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the "−7<x<3" of @upsilon is the same as my "x>-7 and x<3" I just split it up. "-7<x" is the same as "x>-7"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why is the sign reversed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is not really reversed. It still says that x is bigger than -7. It is only displayed the other way around.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see. great thanks!!!!
