what is an inner product ? to what kind of vectors is it applicable ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is another name of the dot product. As far as my math knowledge goes, it is applicable to all vectors.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would rather say that the dot product is a special case of an inner product. More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inner_product_space Examples http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inner_product_space#Examples
