when you put something such as a hot pot of soup in the refrigerator which way does the heat flow? does the cold air in the refrigerator make your soup cold ,or does the heat from the soup warm up your refrigerator ? help

i think this might be refering to entropy, things have a tendency to go from higher states of energy to lower states; the hotter item transfers its energy into the colder item until they reach an equilibrium. ice cubes in a glass of water; the cubes melt as a result of the heat transfer from the water in the glass. if that helps
