h(3) or h(x)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question has h(x) and I am to answer h(3) for the question

Plug in a 3 wherever you see x. I'm kind of confused about your problem though. It's \[h(3)=2x^4-x^3+2x^3-4x-3,\] right? Usually. the \[-x^3\] and \[2x^3\] would be condensed. So your equation should be \[h(3)=2x^4+x^3-4x-3,\]
