when something is melting do the molecules move faster or slower? and is melting a physical or chemical property?

melting implies a change of state from solid to liquid. the molecules get to move lot more in liquid state than they were in solid state as the intermolecular forces are less in liquids compared to solids and it is a physical process

i think it's physical proverty...think logically ....the composition of water molecules do not change...still H2O...(CORRECT OR NOT..TELL IF I WRONG)
