Fun Fact #27: Pelicans don't just eat fish and anything else that might live in water but they have also been known to eat other birds! In St. James Park, London a Pelican is known to eat pigeons while in Zoo Basel one was known to eat ducks. Ever wondered how much they can fit in that beak of theirs? Well the brown pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis) can hold around 11 litres of water in its bill.
