I’m currently working on research on the subject of privatization process in Israel. I’m trying to valuate a seaport in Israel and I wish to use the maritime beta (1.37 as in the U.S. data set), can I use it to valuate seaports?

You could also construct capital weighted maritime index of maritime companies in Israel and then regress MSCI World Index on it, in order to get maritime beta of companies based in Israel.
