how is solving a radical equation similar to solving a linear equation ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do u mean bby a radical equation

OpenStudy (mandii):

\[like \sqrt{x+25} =5 \]

a radical equation is an equation using only +, -, x, /, powers and/or roots.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if this is the case thn both linear and radical equations are the same its just that u have to find a value of x that satisfies the equation here it is 0 same is the case in linear quation too u just have to find out the value but while solving the radical equation u may have to convert it to linear equation by squaring it..
