The formula for the circumferencet of bastball is C=2pieR. If the circumferencet of the ball is 29 inches and the diameter is 9.6 is this a regulation size basketball

diameter = 2R = 9.6 in So 29 / 9.6 must be equal to pi if the basketball is a regular size one. 29 / 9.6 = 3.0208 Since pi = 3.1416, then the basketball is slightly smaller than the rules permit.
