how can i show my operating system to some company for review and i know that its better than some of present OS in many ways ???
What specifically is better about it? Look for companies that specialize in those areas or might need the the added features that your os offers. See if you can get in contact with any of these companies, but keep in mind that people don't like change. If a system is build off of a certain OS, then the owners of that system would probably not even look at changing to yours. Be optimistic, but be realistic.
i have changed OS architectural design to make it some thing i call "SSS - Super Secured Shell" . It has many features, one of them being that it has inbuilt intelligent detection system that can detect about 248 kind of hack attacks and stop them , even giving info about the attack origin
Is it derived from any other os (Linux, BSD)?
nops, i have written it from scratch
i have written every thing, boot loader, file system, shell, kernel everything from scratch and its not derived from any present os
basically i have used , C and x86 assembly to write and c++ and python to make its apps
but, i dnt knw whom to contact in a company or anywhere to show my work
That is a feat! Is it used as a personal computer or a server or a network system? If I were you, I would make a solid presentation to effectively show the advantages of your os, then find the mailing addresses of companies that might benefit from your it. There is strength in numbers, so try get as many as possible. All you need is one yes out of 1000 nos to get your product used.
So that's why you needed the ANSI C standard ready at hand? You're writing an entire OS? Make a powerpoint. Don't contact a company; discuss it in google community or something, and evangelize it the way Linus Torvalds did for Linux.
Wow, 3 weeks ago you were looking for HTML tutorials... a few hours ago you wanted help manipulating graphics using C, and now you have built a complex piece of software from scratch?
its not that, i am checking that many of the present things should be working with my OS
What present things?
You're viewing Open Study on a machine that's running your operating system?
as for now, my web browser is having some problem that it can only open HTML 5 standard pages , so need to know the real difference between different standards
no, this is another machine running windows
A month ago you were 'no where in a position of writing even a simple software.' and now you've got a working operating system?
ya, i month ago i picked up a new language python, but as for programming i am doing it for last 8 yrs
You've been doing it for 8 years and you haven't found a company that will appreciate your new OS?
88/100 for my web browser
It's okay... even firefox doesn't get a 100/100 on that stupid test.
no, i have been programming for 8 yrs , but it took me about 7 months to write boot loader and about 8 months to finish the rest
boot loader was the difficult part as it was in assembly language but than it was c , c++ and python
Ultimately, figure out the kind of people who will be heavily using your OS and preach it to them like Linus and that GNU guy did. Also make it open source so I can be like you.
Someday I want to write boot loaders for the m68k so I can use my calculator to reprogram satellites.
boot loaders and easy to write, at least if you known some low level programming in basic or c
by the way, y ur name is so strange "agdgdgdgwngo"??
i like ur ideas but you know , i cn't make it open source, i have to pay of my university fee and also my bills ....i need to sell it, anyways being a free lance programmer dnsnt pay well

I agree with agdgdgdgwngo, preach it from the heavens. If your os is as awesome as it sounds, you will have quite a bit of people coming to find you for your os, not the other way around. You should have no problem finding someone who needs your os.
ya thats the only feeling that keeps me going on, but still its not that easy as it seems
When did you finish the os?
nt yet totally finished but kernel and shell are active and 16 app working , out of 42
Oh nice. who is the target group? like what will the os be used for?
its not for desktop , it can act as server or for mainframes
Awesome. I know you said that it is very secure, but what else does it offer?
new data processing algorithms
about 8.6% faster than present algos
its boot time is just 36 seconds when fully loaded , actually its also based on some kind of algo that i call partial boot
its something like it boots the OS, gives u shell to work with and put other things in queue to load, in between if u execute some thing than that ur process is given more priority and placed in between queue
Interesting.
I find it hard to believe it is better than a Linux like style OS, which has had hundreds/thousands of programmers working on it. I would not waste my time promoting another OS. I would improve on an OS like Linux imo. What makes your OS so revolutionary compared to the others? Find this and you will have no trouble getting people to use your OS. Remember, it will have to be a wonder. Also, what type of data processing algorithm? You better check with Microsoft and make sure they don't have a patent on it because these days it seems they have a patent on everything.
Yeah. That's the problem with open source: do something and you get sued.
