(x-9)/(9-x) = -1 Can someone show me the steps to getting the answer, -1, to this one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-9) / (9 - x) after this you try to make the upper side and the lower side equal so as to cancel each other. You do this by taking -1 common from the lower side. This gives us (x-9) / -(x-9) { see -(x-9) can be written as -x + 9 which is again 9-x} = -1

Thanks, sometimes I can't see the forest because of the trees. Very nice explanation!
