OpenStudy (my4babiesandme):

solve for x 4x(x-1)-5x(x)=3

OpenStudy (precal):

\[4x^2-4x-5x^2=3\] \[-1x^2-4x-3=0\] Factor or use the quadratic formula. x=-1 and x=-3

OpenStudy (my4babiesandme):

I do not understand

OpenStudy (precal):

I distribute the 4x to x-1 and I distribute 5x to x. I combined like terms. You can factor it or use the quadratic formula to find your solutions.
