why is the area of a triangle constant?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It isn't.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes the area of the triangle varies with the given measurements

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why's that?can you explain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

U need that explaining...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea because I don't understand...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes because area of a triangle is 1/2 * breadth * height breadth and height may vary ... right!! hence the area would vary

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh okay.but what do you mean by breadth?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

never mind

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh sorry sorry i meant base

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if your thinking of any given triangle; then its a constant simply because the measurements never change. How much water fills a bathtub? and why is it the same everytime you fill it?
