What are some artists or movements/genre that work with the theme of 'Cities'?

Look into Street Art - as in the movement to legitimize graffiti as an art form. They use cities as their framing device. Pretty exceptional stuff too.

Hi. In a way i suppose that the place where you live while creating art will somehow affect your work, so in various degrees all art created in cities carry a bit of the environment in them. However I think you're looking for something a bit more specific :) so at the top of my mind I can remember the new york guys from the post war (abstract expressionism and what follows), and the school of paris (picasso, matisse, gertrude stein, the whole gang). hope it helped.
