Two cars started from the same point at 5:00 am, traveling in opposite directions at 40 and 50 mph respectively. At what time will they be 450 miles apart?

10:00a.m because if one car travels 50miles in one hour and the other car travels 40 miles in an hour they would be a total of 90 miles apart in the first hour and then 180 miles in the second hour until the 5th hour where they will be 450 miles apart
