Can you help me make my introduction stronger? My promt is "How does the author use literary techniques to reveal his attitude."

OpenStudy (smurfy14):

Here is my intro: what do you think?: “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,” written by Johnathan Edwards, is a sermon filled with visual imagery. Edwards uses several techniques to reveal his attitudes towards the congregation. It is clear to see, after reading the sermon, that Edwards has strong views about religion. He tries to make the congregation realize how urgent the matter on hand is and the consequences that are to follow. Johnathan Edwards uses several literary techniques in his sermon to reveal his attitude and purpose; a few of these techniques include tone, diction, detail, and point of view.

This is very well writen. The only thing I see is a comma should be here... "...how urgent the matter on hand is, and the consequences that are to follow."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"..after reading and (analyzing) the sermon..." "..has strong(ly opinionated) views about religion..." ..attitude and purpose; (his strongest techniques) include..."

OpenStudy (rainbow):

You could add an adjective in front of ....is a ______sermon filled.... Instead of 'tries to make' you might find and use a stronger verb such as "persuades." Revise so not repeat the same phrase twice: "Edwards uses several techniques."

That was really helpful; thanks!
