6x^3[(3x-40+(4x+2)] please show work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6x^3*[3x-40+4x+2] (no distribution in brackets) 6x^3*[7x-38] (combine like terms) 42x^4-228x^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats fine, the method is the same, just becomes 6x^3*[3x-4+4x+2] (no distribution in brackets) 6x^3*[7x-2] (combine like terms) 42x^4-12x^3
