f(x)=x2-4x , g(x)=4/x-4 . you have to add, subtract multiply and divide the 2 equations. i am fine with this type of problem as long as there are not fractions involved, unfortunately this one does

(4/x)-4 or 4/(x-4)?

4 over (x-4)

so x^2-4x+4/(x-4) is done. thats addition x^2-4x-4/(x-4) is done, subtraction (x^2-4x)(4/(x-4)) 4x-16-4x^2-16x -16-4x^2-12x is done, multiplication (x^2-4x)/(4/(x-4)) (x^2-4x)((x-4)/4) (x^3-4x^2-4x^2-16x)/4 (x^3-8x^2-16x)/4 is done division
