Fun Fact #29: Did you know that in some birds the males and females look so different from each other they were thought to be different species? The Eclectus Parrot is one such example, the male is bright emerald green and the female is bright red and purple/blue. They didn't know they were from the same species until, they were observed 'together'.

:D Thanks, they would have to be one of my favourite birds, I always wanted one when I was a kid. Sadly now they are rated as vulnerable under the IUCN :(
