First find the LCD or aka the least common denominator. When all else fails you can multiply the denominators together, but you will have to reduce later. So the LCD of 6 and 9 is 18 The new fractions will both have a denominator of 18. To get the new numerators, multiply the OLD numerator by the factor that gives you 18 for each fraction. 15/18 - 10/18 = 5/18
