Axis of symmetry is A line of symmetry for a graph. The two sides of a graph on either side of the axis of symmetry look like mirror images of each other.

its the line that creates a mirror reflection of one side onto the other. Like staring into a mirror; the place you are holding the mirror is the axis of symmetry
