Hello, never used Open Study before, it is interesting to see this chat like interface.  I think that could negatively impact the overall discussion thread but it is certainly effective for dialog.

i think it's meant to facilitate real-time conversation between people that are online.  but that's a good point - though I just scroll to the bottom heh
