Can anyone explain span for linear algebra

the concept is the range thru which the vector streches; other than that, i aint got a clue

R^2, R^3, as far as i can tell. I tried reading up on it the other night and it got all technicallity

this guy explains things clearly, when i took linear alrebra this concept was hard for me to grasp, DE's were easier, but check out this site
