76, 91, 60, and 77 as your grades you are hoping to earn a C this will occur if the avg> is greater than or = to 70 or 80. what range of grades on the fifth exam will result in earning a C

(76+91+60+77 + X) / 5 = 70 and (76+91+60+77+X)/5 = 80 Solve both for X and you have your range of grades. Though are your sure it includes 80? Not 70-79 for a C?
well 80 would give it a greater range but thank you!

The other way to set this up is 70 <= (76+91+60+77+X)/5 < 80 Hope that helps.
