The price-demand equation for heads of lettuce is 40p-x=25 . Where P is the price of a head of lettuce and X is the weekly demand (in thousands) for lettuce. How can I write an expression for revenue as a function of the weekly demand for lettuce.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

p = f(x) = (x/40) + (5/8)

what is the revenue? im confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am assuming that the revenue is the value of p, because the equation doesn't make sense otherwise. Normally revenue = price * demand, but in this case the demand is being subtracted from the price. Check to make sure you copied the equation properly.

oh i see... R(x)
