mama's bakery just opened andis currently selling two types of pastry. each month mama's bakery will add two more types of pastryto their menu. suppose this pattern continues. what algebraic expression can be used to find the number of pastries offered after any given number of months? how many pastries will be offered in one year?

2+2n ...n is number of months

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1st month: 2 types 2nd month: 2 types from previous month+ 2 more this month = 4 types 3rd month: 4+2 = 6 4th month: 6+2 = 8 and so on... so you should see that the pattern is 2n, where n equals the number of months. In a year, you would get 2(12) = 24 types of pastries in one year.
