Line of Best Fit... I Just Dont Understand it! Im posting a quick lesson summary so you can hopefully understand it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A line of best fit is drawn from collected data. This data is arranged as ordered pairs and graphed in a coordinate plane. A line of best fit is a line drawn through graphed data points so that the points are either on the line or as near to it as possible. The equation for the line of best fit can be written by calculating the slope from two points on the line and using the point-slope form of the equation.

For problems 1 and 2, graph the data points. Draw the line of best fit and, using complete sentences, explain how you found it in 3-4 sentences. Write the equation for the line of best fit in standard form.
