OpenStudy (trancenova):
false, if you use the coarse adjustment knob on a higher magnification lense you will accidentally ram it into your slide breaking both the slide and the lense.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
False. The coarse adjustment knob can successfully focus low or medium magnification levels. However, the fine adjustment knob is necessary for focusing your slides in high magnification. The coarse adjustment knob risks elevating the base too much and crushing your slide into your objective lens!
