its what helps make plant green and healthy!

OpenStudy (trancenova):

Well yes, it does keep the plant green and healthy lol but its the organelle where photosynthesis takes place, that is where light energy is turned into chemical energy as food for the plant.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

chloroplast was a meaningful organelle in plant cell. function of chloroplast is a)Plants absorb light primarily using the pigment chlorophyll (give a plant a green colour) b) where the photolysis of water happen(stroma c) the production of plant waste product (oxygen) d) plant need glucose 4 continud their life...glucose produces at chloroplast(the organelles inside it)...

A Chloroplast is found only in plant cells. A chloroplast contains chlorophyll and is the site for photosynthesis. The inner chlorophyll is also the reason why plants are green, it gives them color!
