Having trouble working with IDLE. Suggestions? I can not run a program like seen in class.

figured it out. Seriously, i can answer my questions as soon as I ask them out-loud.

Well I guess you beat me to the punch. You can have multiple windows for editing programs (in case you are trying multiple approaches) and they all only need one SHELL to share.
